When Pontiac brought back the ram air cars and hoods with the 4th generation birds, I fell in love with them.  It looks evil and powerful just parked.  Once again on eBay, I saw this car, a 1996 Firebird Formula LT1 WS-6, with 6 speed.  It had 116K miles, but the owner had kept the car up nice, and had just been serviced.  Always looking for a bargain, this one joined us in late 2006.  My son and daughter joined me as we drove to Oregon to bring it home.  My plan is to us this car for small weekend trips, to the like of Monterey, San Francisco, Palm Springs, San Diego, or any where we can drive with the T-Tops off, and radio blasting away.

My daughter and son getting gas on the way home.  We got about 27 miles per gallon using the manual 6 speed as it was intended, fast, yet economical.  We let at night, and ran into the worse rain I have ever seen.  It was so bad we stopped and spent the night to avoid the ran.  I tried for two hours to out run the rain, but even in this car the rain overcame us.

The next day brought better weather, a nice breakfast, and a quick engine check before we continued the journey to Southern California.

Home and cleaned, ready for it's new life of leisure.  I added the Firehawk window decal.
