Saturday January 28, 2006, the Ventura  County GTO club had a Santa Barbara cruise day.  Meeting at Malibu Bluffs to the front of Pepperdine University, we proceeded north along the ocean route called Pacific Coast Highway.  We took the 101 northbound, where some of the cars appeared to have some issues with keeping at the 55 mph speed limit.  I wanted to make sure they were ok, and did not have an emergency, so I had to reach speeds of 100 mph to verify they were ok.

As we were on the freeway, several of us, yes, me included, passed a CHP unit that had some car stopped for unknown reasons.  I hope it wasn't for speeding!  As several of us dropped to under 80 mph as we passed him, it was kind of funny.

We then had lunch at the Brown Pelican Restaurant right on the beach.  Great food, and I had a chance to speak with a few folks about cars and toys.  Several people appeared interested in die cast toys, so I have started to list some cars for sale on my site.  Might go back to selling on ebay, as I used to sell with my son on ebay.

We took three cars to the Santa Barbara cruise.

My 1979 Trans Am, my son's 2000 Trans Am, and daughter's 2004 GTO.

What was different about this cruise day was that is was open to all muscle cars.  So we had a healthy showing of Camaros, GTOs, and Trans Am cars.  We counted 43 cars total.

But when it was all said and done, it was the Ventura GTO club, so they had the most cars.
